Staying Connected

Moms can make friends anywhere, anytime. Whether we’re in a playplace or a waiting room we are all connected.

Never was this reality more clear to me than my time spent in Nashville with thousands of moms at the MOPS  International Convention last month.

When Mothers take time to meet together they make a clear statement: “I believe so much in my calling as a mom to take time out of my busy schedule so I can become the best Mom I can be for my family.”

Mothers who work have other challenges because their days are spent in an office.  The beautiful part about being in an office is the chance to find other moms who are in the same situation as you.  Whether it’s talking over lunch, creating a group on Facebook to share tips and encouragement or organizing a coupon-share between the moms in your work space – you have some awesome options!

Whether we work from home or work in an office we all have the same desire: to connect, to grow and to find joy in our calling.

I have to say that when I left the MOPS convention I felt completely filled up and ready to go!

Below are a few of the pictures and friends we met while in Nashville…and we want to hear from you!

We want to see pictures of you and your group of Mom friends!

Would you email your pictures to and include your city, state and what brings you together as friends…maybe you work together, live in the same area or attend church together…send us your pictures, brag on your friends and share the love!

While we wait for your pictures we thought we’d share some of ours.  Here are some of the new friends we met in Nashville…Here’s our little photo album – we hope you enjoy it!

These ladies from Dallas were the first ones to wear our “I’m A S.M.A.R.T.E.R. Mom” buttons – aren’t they  cute!?  (The buttons AND the ladies :o)

This group of women were amazing! We had such a blast and they were so kind. We talked about what it means to find purpose in a room, organize it and THEN clean it…we laughed, we cried and I loved hanging out with these precious women!

This is Heather.  She couldn’t have been any cuter!  Heather, thanks for making us laugh and being such a real, fantastic woman – so fun hanging out with you!  We met other awesome moms and took lots of pictures, sorry we couldn’t fit them all in!

The main stage for Group sessions was filled with amazing speakers, wonderful music and fantastic challenges for all of us!

General Session

We can ALL wear these buttons with pride!

Our booth where we lived during the weekend and met so many wonderful women!

Our Booth!

Buttons, lanyards, smiles and fun….what more could you ask for!?

I learned how to say Travis Cottrell’s last name correctly and enjoyed each moment of worship with Travis and his band!
Our friends from Germany – such awesome women – they represent all the Military MOPS out there – I respect them so much!
New Friends from Germany!
